Didcot RFC Walking Rugby

“Rugby for everyone — fun, friendly and fully inclusive.”

🚶‍♂️ What Is Walking Rugby?

Walking Rugby is a fun, low‑impact, non‑contact version of the game designed for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. It’s perfect for anyone looking to stay active, meet new people, return to rugby after time away, or simply enjoy the sport in a relaxed and social environment.

And while it’s designed to be gentle and accessible, don’t be fooled — the competitive spirit still shines through, and some games can get wonderfully lively!

📅 When We Meet

Walking Rugby meets every Wednesday at Boundary Park. Sessions are relaxed, inclusive and open to everyone — whether you’re brand new to rugby or returning after years away.

🏟 Where We Play

All sessions take place at the exceptional Boundary Park facility in the heart of the Great Western Park development, part of the wider Didcot Garden Town.

💚 Why Join Walking Rugby?

Walking Rugby is ideal for:

  • Anyone wanting a gentle, enjoyable way to stay active
  • People recovering from injury or returning to sport
  • Older players who still love the game
  • Complete beginners looking for a friendly introduction to rugby
  • Those who want to be part of a supportive, social community

It’s rugby at its most accessible — simple rules, lots of smiles, and a brilliant group of people.

🤝 Our Values

Walking Rugby embodies the core values of Didcot RUFC and the RFU:
